The 1st edition of the VOAHR Project took place between October 2014 and March 2016 under the Active Citizenship Program, funded by the EEA Grants and managed by the intermediate body Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in which FNAJ (National Federation of Youth Associations) is the sponsoring entity, counting as partners with IPDJ (Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth), Asserbiz and Pista Mágica as implementing entity.

This project was created with the purpose of improving the performance of NGOs in the management of their volunteers, using an experimental methodology in the training of their collaborators. Voahr has proven to have fulfilled its purpose, with goals achieved above expectations.
